Thousand Trees is a dance film by Peng Hsiao-yin (Grace) and Dancecology, paying homage to the vision and dedication to regeneration of Peter Fletcher and Barbara Baikie at Terroux.

Over two decades, Peter and Barbara have transformed an eroded landscape into a flourishing garden and series of arboreal plantings. Peter has planted more than 10,000 trees, creating a living work of art.

Join Peter Fletcher for a short guided walk amongst some of the many tree groves; members of Dancecology will accompany the group, and perform dance improvisations in response to the landscape.

Then settle back in the homestead for afternoon refreshments and a viewing of the world première screening of Thousand Trees. A short discussion between Peter and Grace will follow the screening.

Described as a dance film/documentary hybrid, and filmed at Terroux in April 2024, this work captures the spirit of the land and the powerful story of its renewal.

While this event is free, it would be appreciated if you book for catering purposes by Friday 17 April 2026 at https://www.trybooking.com/DLHRF
