Mirramu Creative Arts Centre is a natural retreat for performing and visual artists, writers, healing practitioners, founded in 1989 on the shores of Lake George / Weereewa near Bungendore by renowned Australian dance pioneer Dr Elizabeth Cameron Dalman OAM CdOAL.

Mirramu Dance Company was founded by Dr Elizabeth Cameron Dalman and Vivienne Rogis in 2000. It is an Australian contemporary dance company working in inter-disciplinary and cross-cultural contexts, regularly presenting performances in both traditional and alternative venues.
Based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country at Mirramu Creative Arts Centre on the shores of Weereewa/Lake George near Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory, the Company often presents site-specific works inspired by this powerful environment.
Mirramu Dance Company’s cross-cultural collaborations have deepened national and international relationships and have contributed to the ongoing development of a unique style within the company. Particular collaborations include those with Australian First Nations artists and dance artists from Taiwan and Japan.
Each member of the company is a professional dance-artist in their own right, leading their own professional lives while joining productions of this project-based company on a regular basis.
Mirramu Dance Company presents works in Canberra and the ACT regions. It has toured nationally and internationally, often appearing in the Tsai Jui Yueh International Dance Festivals, Taiwan.
Since 2012 Mirramu Dance Company has been collaborating with Dancecology from Taiwan. Some of their more significant productions together include Mirror Image, Fortuity, ECDysis, and the dance film project Contours.
Our current collaborative project is called Nature Moves. This is a dance film project that follows the work of Elizabeth Cameron Dalman through her latest book also called Nature Moves.
