Friends of Mirramu are invited to the annual celebration of the Summer Solstice – the time when the sun seems to stand still in its path before changing direction.
Australian Dance Party will be in residence at Mirramu during December and so this year we welcome them and their community to join us in celebrating the Solstice.

Friends and family gathered at Mirramu to celebrate the 50th birthday of Vivienne Rogis, Mirramu Dance Company co-founder and current co-director at Mirramu Creative Arts Centre.
Food and conversation were shared. A beautiful cake from Sweet Bones was cut. Music and lights by Andreas Dalman with Sigo Tseng delighted the party goers (especially the mirror ball!). And as darkness fell on the lake, dancing ensued.
We all wish Viv a very happy birthday and many more years of creative delight.

After a whirlwind rehearsal period with Mirramu Dance Company and visiting Taiwanese dancers, ECDysis is now over.
Our thanks to the Canberra Theatre Centre for their generous support and to the ACT Government for a small short response grant, which helped with costs for our theatre lighting technician, program printing, transport to the theatre in production week and artist living costs at Mirramu and in town.
The production was a significant work, celebrating 6 decades of Elizabeth’s dance practice, her evolution as a dancer and choreographer, and her connections with other dance professionals world-wide.
