Friends of Mirramu are invited to the annual celebration of the Summer Solstice – the time when the sun seems to stand still in its path before changing direction.

Australian Dance Party will be in residence at Mirramu during December and so this year we welcome them and their community to join us in celebrating the Solstice.

There will also be informal performances by some of the many artists associated with Mirramu, and the evening will culminate in the traditional circle dances led by Elizabeth, invoking peace, harmony and good things in the coming year.

Please bring a picnic and your choice of drinks.

When you drive along Lake Road both before and after the event, there may be native wildlife on the road – so please take care.

Parking will be on the verge outside the gates of Mirramu, involving a short walk up the slope to the ceremonial grounds. Please advise if mobility concerns require that you need to bring your vehicle up the drive.
