Mirramu features in final day of Weereewa Festival, Sunday 30 March 2014

Walking on Water … and other miracles is the final event for the 2014 Weereewa Festival of Lake George. It is introduced in the Bogong Theatre at Gorman House at 3pm by A Chorus of Women who will then weave their way into the courtyard (weather permitting).

The show in the Ralph Wilson Theatre will be in at 4pm beginning with a celebratory song by the chorus and followed by a collection of contemporary dance solos, duos and group pieces by Mirramu Dance Company, Dancecology and Jyh Shyong Wong of Damansara Performing Arts Centre Dance Company.

This is an informal presentation with some insights along the way into the choreographic process by Elizabeth Cameron Dalman OAM. Followers of contemporary dance will have a tiny foretaste of the upcoming dance theatre production Mirror Image which these dancers will present at ANU Arts Centre Main Theatre from 4 to 6 April.

We welcome everyone interested in and associated with the festival to share these final events with us and to farewell what has been a stellar collection of arts, culture, environmental science and outdoor events celebrating the remarkable Weereewa/Lake George. Tickets will be available at the door (until sold) for those who have not booked. Door sales are cash only.
