As founder of ADT in 1965 and Patron for the 50th anniversary celebrations, Elizabeth was doubly delighted at the recent Australian Dance Awards to see ADT’s Kimball Wong presented with the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer for Proximity [Australian Dance Theatre].

When she was in Adelaide in April, sporting a temporary cast for a fractured wrist, Elizabeth met with the current dancers, staff and Board of ADT to begin planning events for the 50th anniversary celebration year. Many of Elizabeth’s original ADT dancers are still around, some in Adelaide. ADT director Garry Stewart and Elizabeth have already been discussing ways of working together to bring something special to the stage for the 50th, including some appearances by the original company dancers.
